It is such a topic that it spreads among the community. I remember my first time in Y-town and some lady at the Walgreens was telling me how bad the place is. I looked around and found a very pleasant town with really amazing architecture, truly to die-for pizza, nice people, a cool park to jog in (wick park), extremely affordable way of life. Living in the west it blows me away to think that Ohio was once considered the farthest west one could go (back in the 13 colony days), but when one drives up to Y-town from the Ohio River Valley...WOW what cool scenery.
The Vindy should spend their time looking at the possibilities of the Y-town and helping to usher the "reinaissance".
They can start by getting CAFARO Co. on the line and finding out when will CAFARO Co. fix up the old Garland Plaza/McGuffey Mall and help to install a SuperMarket there. The Mahoning Valley has done a lot to help the Cafaro co/family end up where they are today. Filthy Rich. So how about helping to bring back a little pride to the Valley. There you go Mr. Franko --- your first story.

My prayers to the Crawford family who perished yesterday.Satire Empirehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04890072375478029401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7037030002547566426.post-3348178896873424502008-01-21T10:52:00.000-05:002008-01-21T10:52:00.000-05:00I do believe that the Vindicator has spent an inor...I do believe that the Vindicator has spent an inordinate amount of newsprint heralding the demise of Y-town. However, your point about letting Mr. Franko know our thoughts is well taken. I'm sending him an e-mail shortly.Debra Weaverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00805188724349679279noreply@blogger.com
